Verizon Wireless has good news for its customers, particularly those using a device from the Google Pixel 9 or Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup. Earlier this week, the wireless carrier revealed that these devices now support sending text messages via satellite connectivity.
In its announcement, Verizon said that the feature becomes available when these devices are “outside the reach of terrestrial cellular networks.”
Of course, this also means that certain conditions need to be met in order to be able to send a text using this network. For starters, there should be no large structure or tree covering your device and the sky.
Verizon also added that the feature will not be available to everyone right away and that it should be enabled within the next two weeks.
