AT&T has claimed the number one position for customer satisfaction among small business wireless providers in the J.D. Power 2025 study, beating out all major national competitors. The carrier's win shows that small business owners value reliable network coverage and customer service when choosing their wireless provider.
According to AT&T's announcement, the company now covers more than 320 million people across over 27,000 cities and towns with its 5G network. The J.D. Power study measured satisfaction based on network quality, pricing, billing, promotions, digital tools, and customer support. Small businesses were defined as companies with 1 to 19 employees.
The survey collected responses from 4,260 business decision-makers who handle wireless services for their companies. AT&T executives pointed to several recent upgrades as reasons for the strong customer satisfaction scores, including their 5G Standalone network that promises faster speeds and lower latency for business users.
The carrier also highlighted its Integrated Gateway product, which automatically switches to wireless backup if a business's fiber internet goes down, and AT&T Turbo for Business, which gives priority to business mobile data during busy network times. For businesses needing fixed internet, AT&T offers fiber connections with speeds up to 5Gbps at physical locations.
