Earlier today, some Verizon customers were affected by an outage. Thankfully, the outage was quickly fixed.
AndroidAuthority was able to detail the outage, which seemed to affect users who were using eSIMs. In particular, this affected customers using iPhone 14 and 15 devices. Some Android users with eSIMs also reported experiencing the outage.
The users who were affected reported the outage on X and Reddit. While some did not have service, there were others who only got connected to LTE instead of 5G. The outage, as detailed on DownDetector, lasted a few hours. It also had several peaks but has since died down.
As mentioned in the report, Verizon did not go into detail what caused the outage. But thankfully, the outage has since been taken care of.
