T-Mobile has made it easier for non-customers to experience their network coverage. According to the announcement that they made, they are now letting other customers test drive their network coverage without spending anything.
The good news is that this Test Drive program lets non-subscribers check their network via an eSIM-compatible iPhone. You won’t need to purchase anything or even worry about getting a physical SIM card. In addition to being free and not needing a physical SIM card, you won’t need to change your carrier, your phone number, or even provide any billing information to T-Mobile.
If you have an iPhone XS or newer with iOS 14.5 or later installed, you can use T-Mobile’s Test Drive program. Once you meet those requirements, you can download T-Mobile’s Network Test Drive app. This will give you up to 30 days or 30GB of data to test out for free.
If you would like to test the network but you don’t have a device with eSIM capability, you can get in touch with T-Mobile so they can lend you a WiFi hotspot. After you’ve tested out the network, you can then decide whether or not you want to switch over to T-Mobile.
