As a brand, Apple typically likes to stick to its schedule. And normally, they introduce their new iPhone models during the first or second Tuesday of September. Unlike other smartphone brands, Apple doesn’t like having a long weekend before announcing their latest smartphone. With this in mind, it might be safe to rule out September 6 as Apple’s launch event date for its iPhone 14 series.
But changes can occur at any point in time. According to leaker, iHackTu, Apple has something lined up for September 7th. Coincidentally, another known leaker, Max Weinbach, turned to Twitter to share that Apple could hold an event on the same day. While these two are known leakers, another esteemed journalist echoed the same sentiment and pointed to a September 7 unveiling. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPhone 14 series will have a September 16 release date.
If this holds true, Apple would be breaking away from two of its usual practices: holding an event on a Tuesday and after a long weekend. If you’re keeping an eye on the new iPhone series, these dates may be important to you.
Apple has not revealed a launch event date for now so these can be taken with a grain of salt. Hopefully, they send an invite soon so we know when to watch out for the iPhone 14 series.
