Verizon customers are in for a treat! As it turns out, Big Red is currently giving select customers a chance to enjoy 999GB of bonus data every month. And the best part about this is that it is available for free.
This was earlier reported after several posts popped up on Reddit and HowardForums. According to the posts, Verizon is randomly giving out the extra 999GB bonus data to its customers on an older tiered data plan. So if you are still on the S, M, L, or XL plan, you might be one of the lucky few to enjoy bonus data.
Hotspot data plan users are also part of the selection.
If you’re wondering why this is the first you’ve heard about this, that’s because Verizon did not actively advertise the promotion. In fact, there is no word about it anywhere on its website. Even PhoneArena reports that some employees don’t have a clue about the promotion. But if you visit Verizon’s Bonus Data FAQ page, you’ll see that it details the plans that are qualified for the offer, which include the following plans:
Verizon 5GB Shared Data Plan
Verizon 10GB Shared Data Plan
Verizon S Shared Data Plan
Verizon M Shared Data Plan
Verizon L Shared Data Plan
The Verizon Plan
Verizon MORE Everything Plan
And based on the Reddit posts, there were already some customers who were offered the 999GB of bonus data for $5 or $10 each month. There were just a few who got the bonus data for free.
Any data left at the end of the month can be carried over to the next month. If you get the bonus 999GB data, you can keep enjoying it as long as you maintain your existing plan.
