Verizon quietly changes device installment policy

Verizon Wireless has just made a big change to its monthly installment policy. 

As of this writing, Big Red has changed the duration of its monthly installment policy on device purchases. Instead of giving customers an option to either go with 24 or 30 monthly installments, you now have 36 months to pay your new phone. 

One important thing to know about this change is that Verizon did not make any advance warning for its decision to do so. And of course, that means that it’ll likely get some flak from customers. But for those who are hoping for a much cheaper option to get a new device, the new 36-month policy may be a good deal.
