Verizon is trying to get more people to sign up for its more expensive plan by slashing its autopay discount in half.
As a way of trying to get more people to switch to the higher-tiered plans, Verizon wants you to drop your older, cheaper plan. PhoneArena recently got hold of an email sent by Verizon, which gives more information about this offer. As Big Red says, the price of the older plans will increase due to the autopay discount. But this will not affect your current plan price and benefits.
When you switch to Verizon’s myPlan, you can get a $10 per month autopay discount on every line. Meanwhile, the plans that will no longer have the 50% autopay discount include:

With this offer in place, your autopay discount will now be $10 per month. But after October 10th, the discount will be reduced to $5 per month.
