The next development in Global SIM technology has arrived and it comes in the form of an eSIM solution.
Earlier today, AT&T introduced the newest technology called Global SIM Advanced (GSA). This is an improvement from the existing Global SIM technology, that gives the same reliability and flexibility as eSIM connectivity.
The wireless provider announced that Eseye’s AnyNet eSIM and the Infinity platform powers AT&T’s GSA. As a result, users get an efficient eSIM that can be remotely updated and automated. It also features network switching so you don’t need to get a physical SIM card. GSA can also store up to nine network profiles under one eSIM. Another feature of GSA is that it supports low-latency applications.
GSA is available for IoT (Internet of Things) devices, which includes industrial sensors, connected vehicles, smart meters, mobile payment terminals, and wearable health monitors. It’s likely a matter of time before this technology gets expanded to smartphones. But we’re willing to wait for that day.
