T-Mobile will stop supporting ‘old’ devices starting next month.
This comes as a verified report from a leaked internal document from T-Mobile itself. These are the affected devices that are included on the list:

HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle
HTC Desire 650
Huawei Mate 8
Huawei P9
Mikrotikls SIA_R11e-LTE6
Netgear Arlo Security Camera System
OnePlus One
Qanta Dragon IR7
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (*AT&T and Verizon model)
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge
Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos
Sony D6616 Xperia Z3 Orion
Sony Xperia Z3
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
Sony Xperia Z3 Orion
Soyea M02
ZTE ZMax
*The list includes the AT&T and Verizon model of the Note 4. The report shares that the T-Mobile version will not be affected. But it’s also possible that other devices not included on the list will be affected.
The report shows that these 19 devices (including smartphones, tablets, and cameras) will no longer be supported starting January 29.
Most of these devices were launched in 2014-2015. Because of their age, they have not received any official update for quite some time already, which is why T-Mobile will no longer support these devices too.
T-Mobile has sent out snail mail letters to affected customers starting December 18 but will also be notifying customers via SMS on December 28. It’s possible that they will release a promotion to help customers upgrade their devices and continue enjoying their service on the network.
