Last week, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) gave the nod Verizon Wireless’ proposed acquisition of TracFone. Now that they have gotten the approval, Verizon has started making changes to some of the brands owned by TracFone.
Straight Talk Wireless is the first TracFone brand to get revamped under Verizon’s new ownership. Big Red has made changes to some of the plans offered by Straight Talk. These changes have been reported by BestMVNO and are noted below:
$45/month plan - now comes with 5GB mobile hotspot data (previously included 10GB mobile hotspot data)
$55/month Ultimate Unlimited plan - nw comes with 100GB cloud storage (previously none)
$60/month Unlimited International plan - comes with unlimited data (previously only 25GB of data)
The plan also has a disclaimer that “we reserve the right to review your account at 60GB.”
