It looks like T-Mobile has finally succumbed to the inevitable, at least with its Metro by T-Mobile brand. After several assurances that it will not raise prices, T-Mobile has increased the bill processing fee for its prepaid brand subscribers.
As reported earlier today, Metro by T-Mobile customers will now face a $5/month fee instead of the usual $4/month fee. And unfortunately, this change will take effect on September 1st.
The bill processing fee affects customers who are used to paying their bills in an actual store or via the phone. This means that if you have enabled Autopay on your account or you pay your bill via the Metro by T-Mobile website, you have nothing to worry about.
The $1/month fee may not seem a lot, but for those who have to pay it for an entire year, it can quickly rise to $12. There’s no mention of why T-Mobile decided to increase this fee. But we hope there won’t be any more price hikes.
