Since it was officially launched last April 24th of this year, the Apple Watch was a bit challenging to get, especially for those who wanted to buy Apple's first ever wearable device directly from Apple retail stores.
Well, here is some good news for those disgruntled customers -- as seen on the Apple Store website, the Apple Watch can now be reserved online by customers, allowing them to check if their preferred model is in stock in any physical retail store near their location. The Apple Store staff can just prepare the specific Apple Watch model that was reserved and have the customer pick them up.
This should provide a measure of convenience for customers, especially those with very specific preferences. As many may have noticed by now, not all Apple Watch models are readily available in Apple Stores anywhere -- some editions (not to mention sizes) are simply more plentiful than others.
That is why having customers the ability to reserve online is very important. Prospective buyers can check for themselves what specific models are available in the Apple Store nearest to them. And if it is available, they can just grab them from the store without having to wonder if there is enough stock to go around (something that Apple fans often experience in the past).
It should be noted however that all Apple Watch models offered can only be bought via reservation. In other words, if you are thinking of just blindly walking inside an Apple Store and purchasing the smartwatch right there and then, chances are, you will go home empty handed (or more accurately, empty wristed). Every day, reservations open at 8 AM, with Apple recommending that buyers book their reservations fast because by the time they do, their preferred Apple Watch model may already have gone out of stock.
Earlier this month, Apple actually announced that its highly in-demand wearable device would be hitting stores a couple of weeks after June 4th. By any reckoning, that time is about now, which means that the tech giant more or less kept true to its word.
The Apple Watch is made available in three basic versions. There is the entry level Apple Watch Sport whose price starts at $349, then there is the midrange Apple Watch which goes for at least $549, and lastly, there is the luxury Apple Watch Edition which fetches for $10,000 and upwards. For now, the smartwatch is available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, and Japan. By June 26th, the device will be launching in Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
