According to Apple, the (Product) Red iPhone 7 will be launching globally this coming March 24th. This particular model will be offered in 128 gigabyte and 256 gigabyte editions, with the prices starting at $749 at Apple’s official website. Some reseller partners of Apple will be also be carrying the device, but note that pricing at these stores may vary.
For those interested in getting the (Product) Red iPhone 7, know that they can actually trade up their qualified handset towards the credit of a new iPhone in a number of outlets. By deciding to purchase this limited edition iPhone 7, buyers will be contributing to the (RED) Global Fund, which, among others, finances life saving medication for those stricken with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS. All of the earnings from the (Product) Red iPhone 7 will be funneled into this fund.
All of the brand partners of the (RED) campaign agree to develop Red products and then pledge a certain cut of their sales earnings directly to the Global Fund, which aside from fighting AIDS, also combats tuberculosis and malaria, especially in over a hundred countries where cases of these diseases are prevalent. The funds will be used for the prevention, treatment, and care of the three diseases mentioned.
