The Pixel 3 isn't even here, and it has already shown that Google is duplicating two outstanding plays from Apple's “How To Sell Boatloads of Expensive Phones” playbook. This includes adding notch support to their latest Android 9 (Pie) OS, suggesting that no less than one Pixel 3 model would be an iPhone X clone. Later, some online leaks disclosed that it would be the XL version.
Google will release the new flagship phone towards the beginning of October, which means it's going to copy Apple’s strategy in yet another way - not just the way it looks but the way it advertises its flagship device as well.
It was on a YouTube channel, “This Is Tech Today,” in which the YouTuber Brandon Lee initially broke the news that October 4th may be the day when Google unveils the Pixel 3. The date makes perfect sense, as it lines up flawlessly with what Google has done in earlier years.
This was also something that another popular site, Android Police, has also confirmed.
Google needs to use similar tactics as its closest competition in order to survive in the “brutal” cell phone industry. Additional roaming rumors state that Google is taking the lead from Apple by releasing advertisement claiming that you can get up to $10,000 if you are a Canadian influencer willing to show others how simple it is to switch to the Pixel 3 platform from a competing device. There's a good shot this advertisement doesn't originate directly from Google; however, big brands are no strangers at using different kinds of strategies to increase their clientele base, which includes using social media influencers.
The official word from Google (due to a leak on one of their websites) is that the Pixel 3 will be introduced on October 4th. It's unclear whether the phone will be revealed or also released to the stores on that date. On the off chance that that is true, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL should hit stores possibly 14 days after the Q&A session.
