Aside from the Nexus 6 phablet, Motorola has added a few new shiny items in its official website that should excite its die-hard fans.
First up is the gold edition of the Moto 360 smartwatch. Rendered in elegant champagne-colored golden finish, this version of the Motorola wearable device also comes with a 18 millimeter metallic band. The gold Moto 360 is priced at $329.99.
If gold is not right up your alley, you might want to check out the silver edition of the Moto 360, also newly added to Motorola's website. Sporting the same metallic band as the gold edition, the silver Moto 360 comes with a price of $299.99.
Although both the gold and silver editions of the Moto 360 can already be seen in Motorola's website, both items are actually listed as "Coming Soon" which means that with regards to availability, buyers may have to wait a little while. But considering how fast the original Moto 360 sold, information about availability and shipping should be made public soon.
Those who want their Moto 360s to sport a bigger metallic band will delighted to know that Motorola is now selling light- and dark-colored versions of the bands. You can get them for $299.99 apiece.
If you want to explore other options for the bands, Motorola is also offering standalone leather bands for its wearable device. These are available in either stone, black, or cognac leather varieties.
Regarding the bands for its Moto 360, Motorola has stated that it is planning to partner with other companies in creating new band offerings. DODOcase will be selling stitched versions of the leather bands in four different colors, while TYLT will be offering bands that are made of silicon material.
Software-wise, Motorola is also introducing a new My Design watch face option that will let customers customize their Moto 360 watch faces. Depending on their preferences, they can change the background image, the style of the watch hands and the tick marks, and many others. The new watch faces are expected to be made available via an update to the Motorola Connect app that should be coming any day soon.
Last but certainly not the least -- Motorola has also announced a fitness or activity tracking app called Moto Body. This app will measure data such as heart rate, calories burned, distance traveled, number of steps taken, and other fitness tracking information.
Apart from collecting fitness- or activity-related data, the Moto Body app will also merge all the data it has gathered in order to help users create their own fitness goals or benchmarks. The app is expected to be offered via the Moto Connect app.
