One week to go before its unveiling, and yet leaked photos of the highly-anticipated iPhone 6 keep pouring in.
This time around, the new set of images highlight the new iPhone's 4.7-inch display screen and rear cover. The said photos were posted by GSMArena, and appear to be consistent with previous photo leaks associated with the iPhone 6.
The photo of the smartphone's front side clearly shows the display screen turned on, with the lock screen can be seen.
As for the rear cover photo, it does suggest that the new iPhone will feature a camera design that is a bit more protruding. Also, a circular True Tone flash can also be seen incorporate just beside it.
The Apple logo appears like it has been sculpted into the cover, although it is hard to tell for sure from the photos. It is quite possible that it is just a trick of light because of the angle in which it was shot.
Days before its official announcement, excitement over the new iPhone is reaching fever pitch. For certain, the full specifications of the iPhone 6 will be made known during its September 9 unveiling. But for now, Apple enthusiasts are continuing to fawn over its alleged specs, which include a 4,7-inch LCD display screen (960p by 1704p resolution), 128 gigabytes of internal storage, dual-core 2 GigaHertz 64-bit processor with the Apple A8 chip, and 2 gigabytes of random access memory, among many others.
Apple is also expected to introduce an iPhone 6 version that has a 5.5-inch display screen. This version is also rumored to feature a sapphire display, which promises improved screen durability compared to other iPhone models. The 5.5-inch iPhone will purportedly have dimensions of 158 mm by 77 mm by 7 mm, while the 4.7-inch version will reportedly have dimensions of 138 mm by 67 mm by 6.9 mm.
September looks to be a very busy month for Apple. Aside from the iPhone 6 announcement, the mobile manufacturing giant is also expected to unveil the first of its wearable devices this month. The company has also been reported to be developing a mobile payment platform, which it plan to incorporate together with the release of the iPhone 6. Lastly, Apple is also widely expected to release iOS 8 this month -- this new and improved version of the iOS promises even better performance, plus a host of other new features and capabilities.
