Beginning December 8th 2013, AT&T will give existing wireless consumers and business customers the opportunity to save money every month without giving up the nation's fastest 4G LTE network. These new Mobile Share Value Plans will give customers unlimited talk and text with 300mb of data for only $45 per month for the first phone number on the plan. If 300MB of data isn't enough for you, and I bet it's not, you can select a larger "bucket" of data to start with. (See data options below)
With the new Mobile Share Value Plans, you don't even have to sign a contract. That's right, you get all of the savings, the great 4G LTE network and you don't even sign on the dotted line for a 2 year commitment. The only drawback is that you need to bring your own phone, purchase a phone for the full retail price, or set up an installment plan through AT&T's Next program.If you want to add additional smartphones to the plan and share the "bucket" of data, it will cost you only $25 more per smartphone or $20 for a basic/quick messaging phone or a mobile hotspot. AT&T also thought about tablet users when they designed this plan. For only $10 per month, you can add a mobile ready tablet to your Mobile Share Value Plan. This will allow you to connect your tablet to the internet without having to look for a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The bottom line is that the Mobile Share Value Plan is great if you currently are not under contract and don't need a new phone anytime soon or if you are ok financing your next phone or paying a few hundred dollars for it. So if you are not one of the few remaining people clinging to an unlimited data plan, stop in to your local AT&T store and ask them to see if you would save money by switching over to the new Mobile Share Value Plan.
