On top of this, the major US wireless carrier is also offering voice calls at a price of $0.20 a minute. In Mexico and Canada, Sprint will be offering high speed data at $2 a day, or equivalent to a pricing of $10 a week. In most other regions around the world, that pricing increases to $5 per day, or at a weekly pricing of $25. For those subscribers of Sprint who are currently under an Unlimited Freedom option, they get to enjoy free LTE data roaming, as well as free voice calls and text messaging in Mexico and Canada.
For those who are visiting Mexico or Canada, as soon as they arrive on either of these countries, they will immediately get a text message that outlines Sprint’s services and prices. This means that they can readily enjoy access to the wireless carrier’s mobile services just as they do in the United States, and they never have to worry about incurring unexpected roaming costs.
As for existing subscribers of other wireless plans from Sprint, they have to remember that they will be required to pay additional for voice calls, text messaging, and data use whenever they go to countries or destinations outside the US. Sprint’s latest global roaming deal may remind people of an offer made by another major US wireless carrier.
