The Eye Experience software suite was first introduced by HTC when it officially unveiled its Desire Eye device, also known as the selfie smartphone. The Taiwan-based mobile device manufacturer had promised that the Eye Experience will be made available to its One (M8) handsets through an Android 4.4.4 update.
The company had held true to its word -- several HTC (M8) editions have already been updated as of this writing. As a matter of fact, T-Mobile's HTC One (M8) was updated with the Eye Experience last October 21st, while Verizon's HTC One (M8) was similarly updated the following day.
Now, it is Sprint's turn. HTC executive Mo Versi has tweeted that the Sprint edition of the HTC One (M8) will be updated next. Like the others, the Eye Experience suite will come with an Android 4.4.4 update.
This is definitely good news for Sprint subscribers, especially those who currently own or have been wanting to buy an HTC One (M8) device from the carrier. The Eye Experience suite is full of features that should get Sprint's customers very excited.
Chief among the features of the Eye Experience suite is Face Tracking. Once their One (M8) devices are updated, Sprint customers can now track up to four faces during a video teleconference. But instead of displaying all the participants' faces in one single view, Face Tracking displays each face in its own panel, making sure that users can keep track of each participant.
Another feature is Split Capture. This allows users to take a photo or record a video of one's self at same time capture whatever is in front of you. In other words, you can do selfies while recording the action in front of you.
As for Face Fusion -- it is a face-merging feature that lets you combine your image with that of, say, your favorite movie star. Ever wonder how your child would look if you married Joseph Gordon-Levitt? Face Fusion can give you an idea, or at least a good laugh.
Other features include: Voice Selfie, a feature that lets you take selfies using only voice commands; Live Makeup, an instant face-reconditioning feature that brings out your face's best features when you take a self-portrait; and Photo Booth, a quick and easy way to merge multiple pictures into one single image.
Even more exciting news that should delight Sprint's customers -- the Sprint HTC One (M8) has already gotten technical approval and is now being rolled out as of this writing. Also, the update will apply for the Harman Kardon HTC One (M8).
