For a while now, Apple has been running hard-to-miss deals on the iPhone SE. Today, Apple added refurbished iPhone X models to the mix and selling these at a huge discount.
For a limited time period, you can get your hands on an iPhone X at a cheaper price. The 64GB variant is currently available at $769 instead of $999. Meanwhile, the 256GB variant is available at $899 instead of $1,149.
A few days ago, users discovered a bug that affected the privacy of those who used FaceTime to make calls.
According to the report, the FaceTime bug allowed iPhone users to start a group video chat and hear the audio coming from the person they are calling. The surprising thing about this can be done even before the user decides to accept the call. What this meant was that iPhone users were able to secretly hear the private conversations of those they were calling via FaceTime.
Foldable phones are no longer just an imaginary thing. For starters, Samsung has been said to be working on a flexible Galaxy device; which they intend to launch real soon. A representative for Samsung has unveiled that the company could be launching the device during the first quarter of 2019.. After all, a prototype of the device was quickly shown during the last Samsung Developer Conference held in November.
It looks like Samsung is not the only one who intends to launch a foldable device in 2019. Huawei has since been rumored to work on a similar technology as the ones determined for the phone.
ElcomSoft, a firm that specializes in computer and mobile security services, apparently thinks so. According to the company’s research team, the one hour counter will proceed to resetting itself if a USB accessory is plugged in within that one hour period. And it seems that the resetting kicks in anyway whether or not that accessory has been connected before to the iPhone unit.
Apple has just rolled out the newest update to its iOS 11 mobile operating system. Designated as iOS 11.4.1, this latest release not only delivers the USB Restricted Mode, but also an enhanced version of the Find My AirPods feature, as well as the usual fresh batch of fixes for various bugs.
According to a new report recently released by noted Apple expert analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (and picked up by the folks at 9to5Mac), it is quite possible that Apple will be offering no less than five color options for this year’s new iPhone models. Indeed, as predicted by Kuo, the entry level 6.1 inch liquid crystal display iPhone model will be made available in color options of blue, gray, orange, red, and white. As for the bigger 6.5 inch organic light emitting diode (OLED) iPhone model, it will be sold in color options of black, white, and gold.
As reported by The Information, it is quite possible that Apple is planning in the near future to bundle all of its media services into one subscription. Perhaps the most visible or the most familiar of the tech giant’s media offerings is Apple Music, but some may not realize that the iPhone maker has also poured investments in other media ventures.
Apple has just rolled out the first public beta of iOS 12, the latest iteration of its mobile operating system. The tech giant had officially announced iOS 12 three weeks ago, during its annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). Because this latest iOS release is a public beta, anybody can basically download and install it on their Apple handset, unlike developer beta versions which can only be accessed by way of a developer account (which fetches for a hundred bucks).
2017 not only saw Apple release three flagship devices -- the iPhone X, the iPhone 8, and the iPhone 8 Plus -- but also marked the first time that the tech giant had introduced iPhone models that came with full support for wireless charging capabilities. Back in September of last year, Apple had revealed that it was planning to introduce its own take on the concept of a wireless charging mat -- the AirPower.
US Cellular has recently decided to grant wireless service, free of charge, to Apple Watch Series 3 units owned by customers who avail of the mobile operator’s Total plans. According to the company, this special offer is made available for a limited time only, but so far, it has not given any specifics with regards to how long the promotional deal will last.
