Boost Mobile has come up with a new way for its customers to make money and pay their bills.
CNET reported that the Dish Network-owned company is now letting its customers pay their phone bills in full (or partly) by simply playing games or watching ads. The option is available through the new BoostOne app.
When you open the app, you’ll be able to earn coins when you play simple games or watch a few ads. In turn, you can use the coins that you collect to pay your phone bill.
As explained by PhoneArena, earning enough coins to pay off your bill will take some time. Every Boost Coin you earn is only equivalent to one cent. When you watch an ad that lasts several seconds, you get to earn two Boost Coins. But if you use the “spin to win” wheel option, you can earn five cents or up to $5.
This is a strategy that other carriers have tried before so it’s not really groundbreaking. But it is a pretty neat option for users to save some money.
