A few weeks ago, Verizon unveiled its first ever 5G hotspot device, the Inseego 5G MiFi M1000. In addition to unveiling the device, the wireless carrier also revealed that St. Paul, Minnesota is the fifth city to get 5G service from them. Today, Verizon adds four more cities to the list of areas where 5G service is now available.
With today’s announcement, customers residing in Washington D.C., Atlanta, Detroit, and Indianapolis now have access to 5G service. This gives Verizon a step closer to its goal of making 5G Ultra Wideband service available in over 30 cities before the end of the year. These four cities join the likes of Chicago, Denver, Providence, Minneapolis, and St. Paul as the areas where 5G service is available.
Again, 5G service is not yet completely widespread. This means that there are specific areas where you can enjoy 5G data speeds. You can see the full list of areas here.
