It is normal practice for Google to roll out its security updates for its supported Pixel devices on the first Monday of every month. But as reported by Pixel owners, it looks like they have not gotten an update for this month yet.
Google has confirmed this in its Pixel Update Bulletin. According to Google, its July security patch will start rolling out tomorrow, July 7th.
As reported by 9to5Google, the cause of the delay was because of the fourth of July holiday. Since this date fell on a Sunday, the company observed the holiday on Monday. But they are back on schedule and will be releasing the July security bulletin as well as a new Pixel update tomorrow.
So what can you expect with the July update? It’s possible that it will be offering bug fixes, especially since the Pixel Feature Drop was issued just last month. And it looks like Google won’t be releasing the next Android 12 Beta yet, so there’s not much to look forward to with the new security update.
