It looks like Google Fi has released a few ads that feature their services. Apart from releasing these ads online, they have also played the ads on TV.
According to this report, one of the ads that Google Fi has released features their built-in spam blocking ability and VPN for privacy. It says that Google Fi is able to keep its users safe and secure against trackers and hackers. In its closing line, the narrator of the ad sings “goodbye everything you can’t, hello Google Fi a phone plan that can.”
The ad has been aired in a number of local markets over 1,000 times since May 3rd. Meanwhile, the ad has been viewed more than 2.3 million times on YouTube ever since it launched.
As seen on iSpot.TV, there are at least two other ads that Google released on TV for a short period of time. One of the ads talks about Fi’s spam blocking ability, while the other lets users know that they can switch phone plans right from their couch. The two ads end with the T-Mobile and US Cellular MVNO’s tagline: “A phone plan that can.” The two ads have been viewed on YouTube over 19,000 and 435,000 times, respectively.
As Wave7 Research’s Jeff Moore says: “This is an important development because Google’s deep pockets and digital reach give it the opportunity to have an impact on the market, if Google plays its cards right. Running a TV ad shows that the company is taking Google Fi seriously, as does the recent launch of more affordable plans.”
