Google has opened its first-ever physical retail store. The store, situated in Manhattan, NYC, opened at 10:00 am ET today and marks a historic milestone for the company.
Even though Google has held many pop-up shops around the world, this is its first permanent store. Its pop-up shops have always been a temporary setup, especially when they are in the midst of launching a new device.
Through this retail store in the historic Chelsea Market building, Google hopes to let its customers have a first-hand experience of its products and services. They also have a team of capable individuals who are ready to help when you need guidance on a particular product or service.
Right now, the store features just about every single Google product like Nest home devices, Fitbit watches, Google Stadia, and Pixel smartphones. You can pick up one of these to test out or if you’re ready, you can buy one on the spot.
There is no word yet on when and where Google’s next retail store will be located. But it’s only a matter of time before they open up a new store in the future.
