Many are looking forward to getting their hands on the newest Apple iPhone device. But for some users, the iPhone 13’s 5G connectivity doesn’t seem to be working with their carriers. This is particularly true for Verizon users.
And as revealed by PCMag, there’s nothing wrong with your new iPhone. You won’t even need a software update to fix the issue. The report also presented three possible solutions to fix the problem.
The first solution you may want to try is to request for a new SIM card, especially if you didn’t buy a new SIM card from Verizon. If you bought a phone with a Verizon SIM, you will need to activate the new SIM using Verizon’s app or website. This also means you should throw out your old SIM and use this one instead. Meanwhile, if your purchase didn’t include a SIM card, you simply need to call Verizon to have a new SIM sent to you. Another option is to activate your device via eSIM.
The second option that you can do is to have Verizon support remove every feature from your account on your old SIM. Then, have these features added one by one on your new SIM. This seems to be working well with some Reddit users.
Lastly, you can use Verizon’s online tool to check if your device’s IMEI number is in their database. Since these phones have been approved and certified by Verizon, a missing IMEI number could simply be a bug.
All you have to do is call Verizon and explain the issue. It’s possible that some forms will need to be filed in order to fix the problem. But you should know that it will be fixed as soon as possible. And your new iPhone will work with Big Red in a matter of time.
