Earlier today, Google unveiled its latest Pixel devices: the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The tech giant also revealed the Pixel Watch and the Pixel Tablet. This isn’t the first time we’re hearing about these two phones. In fact, Google first talked about the devices at its annual developer conference held in May. But this is the first time we’re seeing the two phones in detail along with their specs.
Let’s talk about the two new phones.
The Google Pixel 7 comes with a 6.32-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Camera-wise, there is a 50-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel fixed focus camera. In front, there is a 10.8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. It also has a 4,355mAh battery The phone has an 8GB of RAM and a choice between 128GB and 256GB onboard storage. Pricing starts at $599.
As the more premium model, the Pixel 7 Pro comes with a 6.7-inch QHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. There is a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera. In front, the 10.8-megapixel camera is also available. The Pixel 7 Pro trades in the battery for a 5,000mAh capacity. It comes with 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Pricing starts at $899.
Mainly, the new Pixel phones have an improved camera and capabilities along with an updated Tensor G2 processor. Its processor now has advanced image processing, expanded security, machine learning, and system cache. The phones are already running Android 13 OS with five years of security updates.
Shipment starts next week. As for availability, here are the carriers that will offer these devices:
