For quite some time now, Apple has been delaying its adoption of RCS messages. Even though Google has made this a standard among Android users, iPhone device users had no way to use this feature. This changes today with the introduction of a new third-party app called Beeper.
Through this app, iPhone users can get in on the action of RCS messaging. When you download Beeper Desktop’s latest version, you will be able to activate the platform through the settings section.
Unfortunately, Beeper still has limited use so you might have to join a waitlist and wait for a bit to start using the feature. There’s also the issue with the history, avatars, and read receipts in group chats since Google Messages support on Beeper is still in beta testing.
