It looks like Red Pocket Mobile is making the most of its advertising campaigns. According to reports, the AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile MVNO has released a total of four TV ads and two radio ads this month.
The report comes from Wave7 Research (via BestMVNO), who first noticed the fourth TV ad that the MVNO launched. One of the ads features Red Pocket Mobile’s baggage-free plans that start at $10 per month. The actress in the ad says:
“Your big wireless carrier’s bundle is a fancy name for baggage. Quit dealing with other people’s baggage. Don’t pay for what you don’t need.”
A QR code is available on screen so you can be redirected to the MVNO’s website for more information.
The other ads for Red Pocket Mobile feature the same idea. They simply highlight some reasons why they are capable of charging $10 per month, one of which says they don’t waste money hiring a celebrity endorser. Could this be a jab at Consumer Cellular’s Ted Danson and Mint Mobile’s Ryan Reynolds? But to be fair, Reynolds is co-owner of the MVNO, which doesn’t mean he gets paid an endorsement fee.
