Nothing has finally unveiled the CMF Phone 1. Apart from a unique look, this device comes with a pretty affordable price that makes it one of the devices worth checking out.
But as shared by Qualcomm’s Sascha Segan, US customers shouldn’t be too excited about the CMF Phone 1 just yet. This is because the device has some network shortcomings for US customers.
Upon checking its tech specs, the CMF Phone 1 does not have support for AT&T’s 5G. The phone also does not support essential features like VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi) and VoLTE (Voice over LTE).
Verizon customers are no better too since the device does not support its 5G or CDMA networks. While it can connect to Verizon’s 4G network, device users will have to manually register their phone’s IMEI on Verizon’s database before gaining access to the network.
T-Mobile customers have some glimmer of hope since it seems to be the most compatible with the new device. However, only one n41 band of T-Mobile’s is being supported by the CMF Phone 1.
Because of the phone’s limitations, Nothing has not partnered with any retail channels in the US. Instead, it is offering the CMF Phone 1 through its Beta Program in the US. You can pre-order the device through Nothing’s website for $199, if you’re interested.
