Straight Talk now offers its own prepaid 5G home internet service. And the best part about this new service is that you don’t have to go through a credit check to sign up for it.
The home internet service costs $45 per month and makes use of Verizon’s 4G and 5G networks plus a router. You can get the service at any of the “nearly 2,000 Walmart stores across the country.”
Straight Talk’s home internet service is less expensive compared to Verizon’s 5G home internet plans, which costs as low as $50 per month. But there are some speed limitations that are included in Straight Talk’s option compared to Verizon’s. With Straight Talk, you get speeds “of up to 100 Mbps on 5G or 50 Mbps on 4G LTE.”
If you decide to sign up for Straight Talk’s 5G Home Internet plan, you’ll have to pay for the router at $99. Meanwhile, Verizon’s plan includes the price of the router already. These are things you’ll have to carefully consider, especially if you’re deciding between the two plans.
