T-Mobile has just unveiled its newest product: the SyncUP Tracker.
The SyncUP Tracker is much like a Tile or an Apple AirTag. It is designed to help locate a valuable item that has gone missing or stolen.
But unlike other tools of its kind, T-Mobile’s SyncUP Tracker works through T-Mobile’s LTE network. It doesn’t rely on Bluetooth range, which means the device can be located anywhere there’s a T-Mobile LTE coverage.
The location of the device can be seen on a map. There is also an option to play a sound when the device has been tracked. It also comes with a companion app that supports geo-fencing, so you can be alerted when your item leaves a specified area.
The SyncUP Tracker comes with IP67 dust and water resistance rating and a 900mAh battery that allows it to last up to 7 days (depending on usage). The device costs $60 with a $5/month plan for data service (with AutoPay).
The SyncUP Tracker will go on sale at T-Mobile stores starting May 7.
