T-Mobile has just revealed its latest accomplishment in the fight against scam calls and unwanted robocalls.
The company has recently partnered with Spectrum Voice from Charter Communications, turning the Un-Carrier into the first US carrier to partner with all the major networks in the country. With this new partnership, T-Mobile is able to deliver number verification to customers. This also makes T-Mobile the first in the industry to implement the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)’s STIR/SHAKEN protocols before the June 2021 deadline.
Along with this announcement, T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers can now get the peace of mind that they will always be protected by their network since T-Mobile is able to authenticate the calls. And now that T-Mobile is able to verify its callers, you can know that the person calling you has already been verified against T-Mobile’s Scam Shield feature.
According to T-Mobile, they have already “protected over 80 million customers from more than 33 billion suspect calls”. This is all thanks to their tools, namely Number Verification, free Caller ID, and Scam Shield blocking tools.
Apart from Spectrum Voice, T-Mobile has partnered with AT&T, Comcast, UScellular, Verizon Wireless, Altice USA, Bandwidth, Brightlink, Clear Rate, Google Fi, Inteliquent, Intrado, Magicjack, Peerless, and Twilio.
