T-Mobile originally planned to launch its Address Verification for unlimited Home Internet customers in May. But just before this was enforced, T-Mo announced that it would postpone this to an unknown date. It looks like this will be implemented tomorrow, June 20th.
As shared by The Mobile Report, T-Mo reps were “encouraged and instructed” to “work around the issue” so more customers could sign up for the unlimited Home Internet plan. This led to some customers using a different address upon sign up.
Now that address verification is getting enforced, affected customers will receive an alert. They need to either use the gateway device at the registered address, change to the Home Internet Lite or Away plan, or cancel their service.
They can also try to get the new address registered so they can continue using unlimited Home Internet. As long as the address is eligible, they should be able to register it without any problems.
