Internet outages may not happen frequently, but when they do, they can be a major inconvenience for customers who rely on their internet service provider (ISP) for work, entertainment, or staying connected. T-Mobile has introduced a solution to help households and small businesses stay online during these disruptions.
T-Mobile is now offering extra data at no additional cost for customers who use a cable or fiber connection. These customers will have access to a 5G internet backup service, ensuring they stay connected during outages. This feature is available through T-Mobile’s Home Internet Backup and Small Business Internet Backup plans, priced at $20 per month with AutoPay. The plan includes 130GB of backup data.
Starting November 14, all T-Mobile internet backup customers will also receive three complimentary data passes each year. These passes provide an additional 130GB of data, activated automatically during an outage. Each pass is valid for three days or until the data runs out, whichever comes first.
As an added benefit, T-Mobile is offering new customers a 50% discount on the Nimble Champ Pro 20k 65W Portable Power. This portable battery pack can power a 5G gateway for up to seven hours, making it an excellent backup power solution. With the discount, the battery pack is available for $49.99 for a limited time.
