Earlier this year, T-Mobile introduced the T Life app, replacing its T-Mobile Tuesdays app. The new T Life app was designed to offer more than just a rewards program. Over the past few months, T-Mobile shared plans to eventually phase out its original T-Mobile app. Today, the company has taken a significant step towards that goal.
According to The Mobile Report, the original T-Mobile app has been removed from both the App Store and Google Play Store. However, users who already have the app installed can still access it. Given that the T Life app offers nearly identical functionality, it’s likely only a matter of time before the original app is officially discontinued.
In anticipation of this change, T-Mobile has emailed its subscribers, encouraging them to switch to the T Life app, calling it their “new everything app.”
With the older app's end on the horizon, now is the perfect time to transition to the T Life app to ensure uninterrupted access to your account when the switch becomes permanent.
