TextNow launched its video calling service in June. A month after its launch, the company revealed that its customers had already made over 5 million video calls.
And now, the MVNO shares that its customers have made over 12 million video calls since they launched the service around three months ago.
Considering the fact that TextNow has a lot of users, it’s really not a surprise that its subscribers have made lots of video calls. The Google Play Store also reports that the TextNow app has been installed in over 50 million Android devices. Apple’s iOS store has also named the app as the 8th most popular social networking app on its platform.
Along with launching its video call feature, TextNow launched a free talk and text plan under T-Mobile’s network.
For an ad-free experience, customers can subscribe to a $9.99/month plan. There is also an option to upgrade to a plan with 2G high-speed data at $19.99/month and a 23GB high-speed data plan at $39.99/month.
