Verizon recently sent out a Tweet that gave advice to users who are experiencing battery life issues with their 5G network. The tweet, however, has since been deleted but there are still screenshots of the tweet posted online.
The tweet says:
“Are you noticing that your battery life is draining faster than normal? One way to conserve battery life is to turn on LTE. Just go to Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice & Data and tap LTE.”
In the tweet, Verizon does not exactly say that users should turn off 5G. But by tapping on LTE, this will shut off the 5G network too.
So if you’re one of the users who is having a problem with battery draining, you can follow Verizon’s advice and turn off 5G network. There are even reports that enabling LTE will give you faster download data speeds compared to Verizon’s nationwide 5G network so this could actually work in your favor.
