Verizon Wireless has a new affordable plan that comes with 5G connectivity. The plan, called Welcome Unlimited, has a pretty big disclaimer.
As shared by PhoneArena, this plan doesn’t qualify as a premium 5G plan since it simply includes the basics. The only thing that allows it to be marketed as such is that it allows unlimited and unrestricted access to Verizon’s 5G network that it touts to be available “nationwide.”
This plan simply comes with unlimited talk, text, and data. You don’t get high-speed mobile hotspot or 5G Ultra Wideband access. More importantly, you don’t get streaming freebies from the plan. So that means no Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Google Play Pass, Disney+, ESPN+, or Hulu.
