Consumer Cellular is in the process of opening its own stores.
The Oregon-based MVNO targets the 50+ customers opened in 1995. Ever since it opened, the company sold through retailers like Target. As revealed by BestMVNO, it recently partnered with Walmart’s stores and will be available in over 400 stores.
And as it turns out, Consumer Cellular will be opening its own stores too. According to Wave7 Research, the company already opened a store in The Villages, Florida. But as discovered by Fierce Wireless, the MVNO will actually be opening up two locations in The Villages.
“Opening our first brick-and-mortar locations is a huge milestone for us. We can’t imagine a better location to launch than The Villages. Opening two retail locations in the largest active retirement neighborhood in the country underscores our longstanding commitment to serve the 50+ community,” CEO Ed Evans said in a statement.
Fierce Wireless revealed that another store will be opened in another state. Wave7 Research believes this store will be in another large retirement community in Sun City, Arizona.
The Villages store will be opened on Friday, November 11th.
