In February Sony launched the Xperia XZ2, yet rumors have leaked that Sony is working on upgrades for its flagship smartphone series; more than likely to be called the Sony Xperia XZ3. Online leaks are leading rumors that the internal specifications might be inspired by the XZ2 Premium, which was released back in April 2018. Three new models have also been spotted on Sony’s official website, the H8416, H9436, and H9493. Sumahoinfo.com unveiled the leaked specifications sheet.
In the report, the Sony flagship phone will be using the same cameras that the XZ2 Premium used: 19 megapixels primary and 12 megapixels in the rear. Android 8.1 (Oreo) will be supporting the phone, along with a 5.7 inch full HD display (1080 x 2160 pixels).
The Sony Xperia XZ3 will also have dual-SIM technology, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. In addition, the phone will also have 6GB of RAM, with an Internal memory capacity of 64GB or 128GB, which of course can be expandable via microSD card for up to 400GB. The battery is a 3,240mAh, and the phone will be enabled for 4G LTE. Other features include NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C, and IP68 water resistance. The dimensions are 153x72x10.1 mm, and it weighs in at 183 grams. The sheet also displayed that the unveiling of the Xperia XZ2 would be at IFA 2018. However, this has not been officially confirmed.
Two new smartphones by Sony have been seen on its official website. Two of the phones have the same model numbers mentioned at the beginning of this article and were found in UAProfs user-agent profiles. The patterns may be suggesting that they may be for the XZ3 and XZ3 Premium.
Consumers will undoubtedly have plenty of choices to make between the new Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy Note, and now Sony.
