Tracfone brands selling well at Walmart

Back in November, Verizon Wireless officially acquired Tracfone and the brands it owned. And as noted by Jeff Moore, the competition for prepaid wireless has improved at Walmart. 

According to his column at Fierce Wireless, Moore shares that Walmart has been “a huge venue for prepaid wireless sales.” 

Before Q4 of 2021, Straight Talk Wireless had a total of 9.5 million subscribers. This is pretty interesting considering it is only available at Walmart. To compare, Boost Mobile has 8.55 million subscribers. And this Dish Network-owned brand has almost 5,000 stores throughout the country. 

The other Tracfone brands available at Walmart include Walmart Family Mobile, Total Wireless, Tracfone, Simple Mobile, and Net10 Wireless.
