C Spire Wireless has recently introduced a new promotional deal that doubles the data allotments of two of its existing mobile plans. The carrier’s $40 a month plan used to come with 3 gigabytes of data every month, but that data allowance has been bumped up to 6 gigabytes. As for the company’s $55 a month option, the previous 8 gigabytes of data has been boosted to 12 gigabytes.
It bears noting though that this latest special offer from C Spire Wireless is only made available to new prepaid customers. Moreover, the promo also comes with the choice of Samsung’s Galaxy J3, LG’s K8, or Motorola’s Moto E or Moto G4 Play, any one of them free of charge, when a new prepaid customer decides to activate an account with the mobile operator.
To check out the new plans, interested parties can head to C Spire Wireless’ official website, or make a phone call to Customer Telesales at 1.855.CSPIRE4 for home delivery or pick up at any one of the carrier’s retail outlets.
As pointed out by Suzy Hays, the senior vice president of consumer markets at C Spire Wireless, both the $40 a month and $55 a month plans already include unlimited voice call minutes and text messaging, with taxes and fees already included in the monthly pricing. For those interested in other deals, they should check out other offers from C Spire Wireless at Wirefly now.
Meanwhile, Cricket Wireless, the prepaid arm of AT&T, has apparently decided to get rid of a pair of midrange prepaid plans (albeit quietly). According to a report recently published by Droid Life, it turns out that the mobile carrier has removed its 8 gigabyte and 12 gigabyte plans. This leaves the prepaid service provider with just four options for data -- namely the $30 a month plan that offers 2 gigabytes of data, the $40 a month option with 5 gigabytes, the $55 a month plan that comes with unlimited data, and the $60 a month premium unlimited plan.
Some may remember that nearly a couple of weeks ago, Cricket Wireless had revealed that it was boosting the data allotments of its most popular mobile plans. For instance, the $30 a month option’s 1 gigabyte is being increased to 2 gigabytes, while the $40 a month plan’s 4 gigabytes is being increased to 5 gigabytes. Interestingly, the carrier then proceeded to eliminate the 8 gigabyte and 12 gigabyte plans less than a week after making the boosted data announcement.
