Earlier this month, Motorola introduced a gold edition and a silver edition of its Moto 360 smartwatch. At that time, these Moto 360 variants appeared on Motorola's official website and were listed as "Coming Soon." Apart from these two new editions, Motorola also introduced metal bands that were slimmer, measuring at 18 millimeters in width.
Also, no release dates were announced for the gold and silver editions and for the new slim metal bands. However, as seen on Motorola's website today, the items mentioned above are already listed as "Available."
The Champagne Gold version of the Moto 360 commands a price of $330. As for the silver edition of the Motorola wearable devices, it comes with a price of $300. Both editions come with an elegant and slimmer 18 millimeter metal bands.
The silver 18 millimeter edition of the Moto 360 actually costs the same as the dark-colored or silver 23 millimeter editions offered before. As for the slim Champagne Gold edition, the price is $30 higher than other Moto 360 models.
For now, the slim metal bands can only be found in Motorola's website. But many expect these bands to become available in other retailers too, whether online or offline. Especially now that we are entering into the holiday season, there is a big possibility that customers will be seeing the slim metal bands offered by more stores.
The Moto 360 has become one of the most popular smartwatches readily available today. Part of its appeal is that among the smartwatches today, the Moto 360 looks and feels like a traditional watch. This may be due to its round shape, and of course, the watch straps, which actually come in leather and now metal variants too.
No wonder people are very interested in the Moto 360. As a matter of fact, hours after the wearable device debuted on retail back in September, it already sold out.
Motorola, for its part, has continued keeping customers and potential buyers' interests piqued. Releasing a champagne gold and silver edition of the Moto 360 certainly qualifies. So is introducing slimmer 18 millimeter metal bands. Not only that, Motorola has stated that it might be planning to partner with other companies in developing new bands for its wearable device. In a few months, customers might be treated with additional band variants -- stitched versions of leather bands perhaps, or maybe those that are made of silicon.
