As you might have heard already, the One A9, the new flagship device that HTC announced about a week ago, is coming to stores everywhere in November of this year. For die hard fans of HTC mobile devices, some of them may have noticed that there is a difference between the price of the device when they preorder it directly from HTC, as compared to preordering the handset from wireless carriers. For instance, Sprint is making the smartphone available for preordering at $696 upfront, which is equivalent to $29.99 over a couple of years. However, if mobile users purchase it directly from HTC, particularly from HTC.com, they will pay only $399.99 full price.
But alas -- the Taiwanese phone maker’s promotion price for the One A9 smartphone apparently will not last long. By November 7th of this year, the HTC One A9 handset’s price will increase to $499.99 full price. The same also goes when buying the device in specific franchise stores in the United States.
When HTC first revealed its pricing for the One A9 smartphone, the Taiwan based mobile manufacturer had intended it to be a limited time offer only. However, the company never did specify just how long the special pricing would be offered. But now that HTC has spilled the beans, those interested in buying the One A9 device may do well to start making their orders now.
The HTC One A9, which comes powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow (the latest version of Google’s Android mobile operating system), is expected to be made available in all major wireless carriers in the US (Verizon Wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint) in the coming weeks. However for those who elected to preorder the smartphone directly from HTC will get to enjoy a free six month subscription to Google Play Music, as well as get one full year of handset protection courtesy of the Uh-Oh replacement program.
Some mobile users may still want to purchase the HTC One A9 device at full price upfront. They may want to check out Sprint’s deal, which offers the device on a 24 month lease at $20 a month. Moreover, those who buy the handset via Sprint Lease before January 7th of next year, the wireless carrier will be refunding the first couple of months of their smartphone payments.
