ROK Mobile recently took the opportunity to unveil new bring your own device (BYOD) plans on Sprint’s network, including options that offer unlimited voice calls and text messaging, plus more generous data inclusions. The full new offerings are Sprint BYOD 1GB, 3GB, and 5GB.
Any Sprint BYOD plan basically already comes with unlimited voice calls and text messaging, and for good measure, data inclusions ranging from 500 megabytes to 5 gigabytes. But for those who want more data, they might want to check out the 5G ROK Red BYOD option, which delivers 5 gigabytes of 4G LTE data, as well as the ROK Life Premium Life Plan. For a price of $50 per month, customers get to enjoy unlimited voice calls and text messaging, plus 5 gigabytes of 4G LTE data.
It should be noted though that the data is hard capped, which means that if customers go beyond their data allotment, their connection speed will either be slowed down for the rest of their paid period, or become unavailable. Access to data, however, is still made available by way of Wi-Fi. And besides, even though it is called unlimited data, pretty much every similar offering out there (even from major wireless carriers in the United States, who just called it by another fancy term -- data deprioritization), come with limits. Still, 5 gigabytes is a lot, so unless you are doing every data consuming task imaginable in one sitting, it is likely that you will not burn through those 5 gigabytes right away.
Availing of ROK Mobile’s new BYOD plans is as simple as it gets. Mobile users just need to make sure first that the handset they are bringing in is compatible with the mobile virtual network operator’s CDMA network. After that, it is just a matter of paying the $50 in order to start enjoying unlimited voice calls and text messaging, 5 gigabytes of LTE data, the ROK Benefits bundle, Premium streaming music feature, $5 a month in credit with Wi-Fi calling, and more tracks than ever to stream to one’s delight.
For those who want to avail of ROK Mobile’s insurance options, know that the carrier actually introduced new plans back in February early this year. The options are broken into four separate plans (starting at $5 per month), each offering insurance inclusions under a budget friendly rate. Take the $10 plan, for instance -- it already comes with Wi-Fi calling, as well as roadside assistance, $20,000 worth of burial insurance, and $100,000 of accidental death insurance.
