Sprint is the latest to join the club. The wireless carrier recently introduced brand new international roaming deals for mobile users who frequently find themselves travelling all across the North And South American continents.
Sprint’s brand new Open World international calling and roaming add-on feature is made available to all subscribers who own qualified handsets. This new feature provides subscribers with free and unlimited voice calls and text messaging to the United States from Canada, Mexico, and a dozen other countries located in Latin America. Plus, customers also get to enjoy 1 gigabyte of free high speed data without having to worry about any roaming fee. Moreover, subscribers will be able to call Canada and Mexico free from the US, with the rates for the covered Latin American countries starting at only $0.05 a minute.

Apart from the inclusions outlined in the preceding paragraphs, Sprint’s Open World feature also offers its subscribers competitive roaming pricing in 18 more additional locations around the world. Is Sprint’s new Open World feature a direct answer to T-Mobile’s Mobile Without Borders? It appears to be so. Both certainly serve as good deals especially for those mobile users who travel frequently to Canada or Mexico, and are in need of wireless services that do not include exorbitant international roaming fees.
Aside from major wireless carriers, smaller prepaid arms such as MetroPCS and AT&T's Cricket Wireless have also announced free calling to and from Canada and Mexico to their respective wireless plans in the past couple of months.
