Sprint has decided to bring back its 30 day satisfaction guarantee for new subscribers, which means that those who are thinking of signing up with the major US wireless carrier can test drive its LTE mobile networks before opting to be locked into Sprint for good. The 30 day satisfaction guarantee is effective from March 25th of this year onwards, and is made available not only to new subscribers of Sprint, but also to existing customers who are looking to get new additional lines of service to their account.
For those not familiar with Sprint’s 30 day satisfaction guarantee offer, it basically provides customers a period of 30 days to try out the wireless carrier’s mobile service, including all the voice calls, text messaging, and data inclusions in their plan. If the customer is not satisfied with the quality of the network or the wireless service, he is free to terminate the plan and cancel his handset, and then Sprint will refund the device cost, plus any service charges incurred within the 30 day period.
It should be noted that device costs will include installment and lease payments, as well as any applicable early termination fees when surrendering one’s handset back to Sprint. Those who opt to hand back their device will also get a refund for their smartphone plan, activation fee, and taxes paid. If there any additional charges made on the user’s account (e.g. premium content, overages, and international services outside the customer’s plan), they will not be refunded.
Many may consider this latest move from Sprint as another attempt to urge current subscribers of other rival wireless carriers (Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and T-Mobile) to switch to Sprint. After all, Sprint is still offering its cut your bill in half promo, wherein it will reduce the bills of defecting customers from the other members of the Big Four wireless carriers in the United States in half if they decide to switch to Sprint. Moreover, Sprint is still also offering to pay up to $650 for each line of service for new subscribers. The great thing about all of these offers is that they can be combined with the 30 day satisfaction guarantee offer.
But those thinking of switching may do well to remember that terminating a service with a new wireless carrier within a month’s time can be a hassle. Sure, you do get to have your money refunded, but then you would still have to go through all of that porting your number to another wireless carrier stuff, and then setting up another new account with yet another smartphone.
