Just over a week into the new year, T-Mobile is once again back to announcing aggressive promotional deals for mobile users. This time around, the wireless carrier is deciding to introduce three new special offers. The first one is a buy one get one deal on a dozen smartphone models from brands such as Samsung and LG (just to name a couple) for customers who choose to switch from a rival network. The second deal promises $150 back on a Samsung or LG device after rebate. The last promo offers to pay up to $650 off selected flagship devices for Verizon Wireless customers who defect to the Uncarrier.
Let us tackle the buy one get one deal first -- those who switch to T-Mobile from another mobile operator and also purchase a new Samsung Galaxy S8, LG G6, LG V30, or LG V30 Plus can get their hands on a free second device after rebate. As for those who purchase a Galaxy S8 Plus or Galaxy Note 8 unit, they will get up to $750 back.
For those looking to buy an iPhone 7, an iPhone 7 Plus, an iPhone 8, an iPhone 8 Plus, or an iPhone X, they can get another iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X (of equal or less value, up to $700) as long as they buy the handsets via an equipment installment plan (EIP), port in at least a new line of unlimited data service on T-Mobile One or Simple Choice Unlimited, and trade in a qualified Apple, Samsung, or LG device.
As for the second promo, it is made available to new and current subscribers who buy a new Samsung or LG phone on an interest-free EIP and trade in an eligible handset. Qualified models include both Galaxy S8 devices, the Galaxy Note 8, the LG G6, and both V30 phablets.
With regards to the third deal, T-Mobile is promising to pay off any one of 13 models ($650 max through virtual prepaid card) when Verizon customers switch to its network and subscribe to a T-Mobile One Plus or One Plus International plan. The company has expanded its #GetOutoftheRed campaign to include the Galaxy S8 models, the Pixel 2 devices, and the iPhone X.
In other related news, the third biggest wireless service provider in the United States has also launched the first ever service plan for NB-IoT (narrow band Internet of Things) in America. Those who avail of this plan basically get to enjoy access to the Uncarrier’s NB-IoT service for $6 annually for up to 12 megabytes for every connected handset or gadget.
